读这本书可以给人带来信念,也会让人去反思生命和死亡的意义。  
本书主角是一个医生,前半部分讲述的是他作为一个医学生,从学医到医生阶段见识过太多病人的生老病死。而后半部分讲述的是这个医生自己获得了癌症,然后他自己是如何面对这个疾病的过程。从医生变成病人的转变,从看到别人经历痛苦,到自己经历痛苦的过程。  
虽然描述的是疾病与痛苦,但如书名一样的带来人一种温馨的、轻快的节奏。很多虽然痛苦的事情和经历,但是就在轻描淡写之间一笑而过。  
死亡其实也就是说尘归尘,土归土的过程,而生命就像呼吸,呼吸就是将氧气化为空气,主角最后也是通过呼吸机来维持生命。  
本书从多角度来看待生命与死亡,当医生自己得知自己患病时,他是如何去对待生活与现实的?

    这本书分为两个部分,part one和part two 。part one讲述的是主角从一个医学生成为医生的心理过程及角色转变。他在医院的时候见识了太多的生老病死

讲述的是主角身为医生,但是自己也身患癌症。从刚开始时的悲伤,到后面的平淡接受,甚至回归到工作岗位重新为人治病。在这个过程中,他既有身为医生的专业能力,又能够和病人一样感同身受,慢慢的在适应了并爱上了这个新的工作机会。
